What are Picnic Fun Hunt Tests? |
Picnic Hunt Tests are mock hunt tests with the intention to show new members or interested hunters how the NAHRA Hunt Tests can help improve your dog's abilities in the duck blind as well as in the pheasant field. |
This is also a great opportunity for handlers to learn some training tips, to shake off the rust of a more seasoned retriever from the long dark winter, and to get outside in the sun and socialize with friends we haven't seen since last fall's hunting season. |
Junior handlers and individuals interested in training hunting retrievers are encouraged to come out and partake in our events. Guest and non-members are welcome. |
| Remember that all our events are family events. We look forward to seeing you and your family at this season's Picnic Fun Hunt Tests and our NAHRA Licensed Hunt Tests. |

Support Live Birds at our Events!
What is the Live Bird Raffle? |
We started a Live Bird Account in 2007 to raise money to provide live birds at all of our events. We ask our members to bring an item to be raffled off during our Saturday Hunt Test Tailgate Cookouts. |

Suggestions include bumpers, whistles, coasters, blankets, healing sticks, dog bowls, prints, some "doggy" item around the house that hasn't been used, anything for dogs or people that love dogs - basically anything to do with retrievers. Items from our corporate sponsors and some surplus training items from the club will also be included. |

During the cookouts we sell tickets for the preceding raffle. The proceeds are placed in a special account to purchase live birds at future field events. It's a lot of fun and also helps the club keep those quality live birds coming! |
